ADDI ENGINEERS & ARCHITECTS SECTOR NEWS

Brothers and Sisters! Fellow African Diaspora Engineers
and Architects! Thank you for your recent participation in
ADDI’s “African Diaspora Engineers & Architects: A
Follow Up Conversation” hosted with Her Excellency,
Ambassador Arikana Chihombori-Quao, MD, FAAFP, Dr.
Beenunula Nunumisa and myself on Sunday, October
18, 2020.
What Is The ADDI
ADDI is a registered 501 (3)c non-profit entity
headquartered in Washington DC, set up to bridge the gap
between the African Diaspora and Africa. The ADDI is
mobilizing and organizing African Diaspora professionals
so that we can participate in building the Africa that we
want.
Who Are The African Diaspora
The African Diaspora are ALL people of African descent
that live outside of Africa. This includes African Americans,
African Caribbeans, African Latin Americans, African
Europeans, African Arabs and Continental Africans who do
not live in Africa.
What Is “The Africa That We Want”
The Africa that we want is an Africa that offers her children
all over the world, opportunities to get in on many of
Africa’s mega intra-continental development projects that
will come to fruition as a result of the enactment of the
African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in 2021.
These opportunities will allow interested African Diaspora
professionals to participate in Africa’s development as
owners and not simply as workers. The only way to stop
the current exploitation of Africa is for the children of Africa

to reverse the Brain Drain, by uniting and coming home to
build the Africa that we want.
AfCFTA – Why It Matters
Come January 2021, the enactment of the African
Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) means
Africa will be guided and governed by a new set of laws
and rules that will forever change how business is
conducted and how people will move throughout the
Continent. For the first time since colonization, thanks to
the wisdom and cooperation of all the African Heads of
State in 2018, barriers to trade and the movement of
people on the Continent will ease up. The enactment of
AfCFTA will allow African countries to go to the global
bargaining table as a single, more powerful entity when
negotiating deals with global economies. No longer will
each small, individual African country/economy be on the
losing end of having to negotiate with large global
economies such as America, China, Europe, etc. Going
forward, 54 of 55 African economies will come to the
bargaining table as one.

How We’ll Build The Africa We Want
ADDI is mobilizing, introducing and facilitating the
connection between African Diaspora professionals all
over the globe to the many private sector development
intra-continental projects that are on offer or are in the
pipeline in Africa e.g. TRAVACO, WAKANDA One Cities,
etc. Similar to the Chinese Diaspora, the African Diaspora
will leapfrog Africa into the future over the next 2-3
decades.
TRAVACO: East to West Value Corridor
The Trans Africa Value Corridor a.k.a. TRAVACO is
a cross border value corridor project that co-locates
transportation, utilities and energy sub-systems in a
corridor and develops new Corridor Anchor Towns
(CATs). TRAVACO will open up East-Central Africa (The
Belly), establish a high speed logistics ecosystem and
connect the Indian Ocean all the way to the Atlantic
Ocean. Developing this corridor will expedite the
implementation of the Continental Development Agenda
and realization of the African Continental Free Trade
Area (AfCFTA). *TRAVACO Ltd. is the Private Structured
Project Company and Master Developer of theTransAfrica Value Corridor Project. *TRAVACO Ltd. a private
entity, is not owned or operated by ADDI and all
donations to ADDI are neither received or managed
by TRAVACO Ltd.
WAKANDA One Cities
Wakanda One Cities are ultra-modern, futuristic cities
utilizing the latest technologies, designs and materials
that are naturally abundant on the African continent.
These cities will be located every 200-300 kilometers
along TRAVACO’s East to West Value Corridor.
Why Get Involved With ADDI
Africa is the only home that ALL black people all of the
world truly have. ADDI, under the esteemed and credible
leadership of H. E. Ambassador Arikana Chihombori
Quao, MD, FAAFP will be facilitating connections to
development projects on the Continent where the Children
of Africa get to be owners and no longer just workers on
continental projects. This is how we actually build
generational wealth for our children, grandchildren and
generations to come.
